Food to Live Lemon Powder is produced using a spray-drying method, which involves treating lemon pulp with a hot gas for a short period.  This technique allows the fruit to be turned into a powder while retaining its nutritional value.

Taste & Uses

Pure Lemon Powder has a sour taste with a hint of sweetness, just like fresh lemons. Thanks to that, Lemon Powder Uses are very similar to those of whole lemons. It can be added to smoothies, morning drinks, and homemade ice cream. It is very common to use Lemon Powder for baking muffins, cakes, bread, or cookies. Just add a little bit of powder to the dough for extra citrus flavor and aroma. Moreover, you can make a delicious lemonade by mixing this powder with filtered water and fresh mint (proportions really depend on your personal preferences, we recommend starting with small quantities and seeing how it goes). Many chefs use Lemon Powder for Cooking sauces, marinades, and salad dressings as it makes their flavor unique and distinct.

Ingredients for Pan-Fried Lemon Garlic Shrimp with Shell:

  • 1 pound fresh jumbo shrimp, shell-on*
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp lemon powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs, for garnish
  • Thai Hom Mali Jasmine rice, for serving
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  • Using paper towels, pat dry shrimp, thoroughly.
  • Combine salt, pepper, sweet paprika, and lemon powder. Add shrimp and toss to coat.
  • Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side. Do not overcook.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Serve over hot rice and garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices.

Notes:

  • The shells add a lot of flavor to the meat, and they protect it from quickly overcooking. But if you do choose to peel the shrimp before cooking, save the shells and freeze them to make seafood stock for chowders and stews.
