Use Organic Whole Wheat Flour for Healthy and Easy Baking

If you don’t have a bread machine, you can make delicious bread easily using Organic Whole Wheat Flour. You were created by grinding 100% Organic Hard Red Spring Wheat, which is rich in fiber, iron, and protein and retains all the nutrients. Organic whole wheat bread flour is about equal to all-purpose white flour in calories; however, the nutritional value is higher overall. Use it to make bread, homemade pasta, cookies, muffins, and pancakes. Also, mix organic white wheat bread flour with other types of flour to diversify your recipes. Its flavor is mildly nutty and luxurious compared to bleached flour, which is almost tasteless. While high consumption of processed grains is connected to health issues like obesity and inflammation, whole grains differ.

Eating whole grains is associated with numerous benefits, such as heart disease, lower risk of diabetes, and high blood pressure. Whole grains incorporate all three parts of the grain. There are various kinds, like whole wheat and oats, corn, brown rice, and quinoa. Whole wheat bread flour offers a variety of essential nutrients, including vitamins, fiber, protein, minerals, and other healthy plant compounds. One of the critical health benefits of whole wheat is that it lowers your risk of heart disease, which is the foremost reason for death. Unfortunately, most studies lump together different types of whole grains, making it hard to separate individual foods’ benefits.

Still, whole-grain bread, cereals, and added bran have been mainly linked to lessened heart disease risk. Goods made from organic whole wheat bread flour are way more fulfilling than processed flour; therefore, it’s excellent for weight management. The fiber in whole wheat flour supports healthy digestion in different ways. First, fiber aids give bulk to stools and lower your risk of constipation. Also, some sorts of fiber in this grain act as prebiotics. It means they help feed your good gut bacteria, which are essential for digestive health.

Whole grains are not for everyone.

While whole grains are healthful for most people, they may not be suitable. Therefore, Whole Wheat Flour has a type of protein many people are intolerant to, and you need to consult your doctor before using it.

Ingredients for New York Style Whole Wheat Bagels:

For bagel dough:

  • 1 cup (240g) lukewarm water
  • 1 tbsp (7g) active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp (10g) honey
  • 1 cup (150g) whole wheat bread flour
  • 1 cup (150g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (90g) oat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp (7g) vegetable oil

For bagel boiling:

  • 2-3 quarts of water

For bagel topping:

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl whisk together warm water, yeast, and honey. Set it aside for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat bread flour, all-purpose flour, oat flour, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir until it’s just combined. Pour the oil and knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes, until the dough is smooth. (OR, you can knead the dough using a kneading machine for 8-10 minutes).
  4. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a bowl. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm spot for 60 to 90 minutes until the dough has doubled in size.
  5. Transfer the dough to a work surface and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each dough piece into a round ball.
  6. Poke a hole in the middle of each ball then make the hole wider to form the bagel. Repeat with all of the balls. Cover the bagels with a kitchen towel and allow them to rest for 10 to15 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350 °F/180 C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. In a large pot bring the water to a boil. Reduce the heat so water is gently simmering. Place the bagels in the water, 3 to 4 at a time, depending on the size of your pot. Boil the bagels for 30-60 seconds on each side.
  9. Remove the bagels from the water using a slotted spoon and place them onto the baking sheet. Brush the tops of the boiled bagels with the egg wash and sprinkle with the Everything Bagel Seasoning.
  10. Bake the bagels for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown, then transfer to a wire rack to cool and enjoy!

Ingredients for St. Patrick’s Day Sesame Crackers:

Instructions

  2. Wash the spinach and put it in a blender together with the water and blend until completely smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder, salt, and sesame seeds. Stir to combine, then add in the spinach-water and olive oil. Stir to combine again, then mix and knead with your hands until it’s a smooth dough. Add more flour if your dough is too sticky.
  4. On a lightly floured parchment paper, roll out the dough as thin and even as possible.
  5. Cut it with a knife or pizza cutter length- and widthwise. Carefully pull the parchment paper with the crackers onto a baking sheet.
  6. Bake them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes (until they get crispy).
  7. Let them cool off and enjoy!

Whole wheat BREAD flour - it does make a difference. Great product. I can find whole wheat flour in my local grocery, but not whole wheat BREAD flour. I was so happy to find this. The difference in the texture of my bread is noticeable. I like that it’s packaged in a reasonable 4 pound package. When I would find it locally, I’d either have to purchase multiple 1 pounders, or a huge bulk size. This is perfect!

Tasty! Very good. Bread tastes as if made from freshly made flour. Definitely recommend!
I was looking for unbromated flour. I was looking for unbromated flour. This is excellent. For a whole wheat flour it's very finely ground. I made banana bread and zucchini bread. They both rose as well as with white flour and tasted great. Very happy.
