Allspice, also known as Jamaican pepper, is a spice renowned for its ability to add incredible flavor to many foods. It is widely used in Mexican and Central American cuisines. It originates from the Caribbean region and has been popular with the local tribes for many centuries.

The spice tastes well either whole or ground, but the former is better to use in marinades and meat dishes.

Excellent whole berry allspice. Beautiful fresh allspice berries. I prefer whole berries as they last & stay fresh so much longer. They are fragrant & taste so good if you lightly toast them before grinding. Absolutely beautiful flavor. Also really nice to put on your stove in a little simmering pot of water w/ cinnamon sticks & other sweet spices. Your house will, smell so good, like someone's been baking all day. I highly recommend this allspice. Whole berries are so much better than flavorless ground spices. Give them a try.
The aroma throughout the kitchen was wonderful, it reminded me of the holidays. I used the allspice berries in a pastrami marinade. The aroma throughout the kitchen was wonderful, it reminded me of the holidays. The pastrami was really good as well!

Great products, reasonably priced. The allspice arrived as scheduled, very well packaged. The product itself is very fresh and a great price, I am making a pimento dram and fresh allspice is a must! I’m betting you couldn’t go wrong with anything you order from Food to Live!
Very fragrant allspice berries with a very strong taste. I received them very, very fresh. I don't need to use as many per recipe because they're so much more flavorful than other ones I've bought. Also, the price is good as well.

The berries are fresh and wonderfully pungent. They are just what I was hoping for to provide an unexpected punch. (I use allspice mixed in with peppercorns for my table pepper mill, and also as seasoning, either whole or ground, in many dishes in place of nutmeg, which seems to have become ubiquitous.)
