Ingredients for Warm Autumn Punch:

  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 apple, (cut into slices)
  • 1 orange, (cut into slices)
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 slices fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp whole allspice
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 4 anise star


  • Combine all ingredients in a large stockpot or Dutch oven. Bring to a rolling boil for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to simmer and allow to simmer, covered, for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the star anise and cinnamon sticks.
  • Transfer to a slow cooker to keep warm for a party, or serve directly from the stovetop, warm.
  • Garnish with an orange slice and star anise.
  • Enjoy!

Excellent whole berry allspice. Beautiful fresh allspice berries. I prefer whole berries as they last & stay fresh so much longer. They are fragrant & taste so good if you lightly toast them before grinding. Absolutely beautiful flavor. Also really nice to put on your stove in a little simmering pot of water w/ cinnamon sticks & other sweet spices. Your house will,smell so good, like someone's been baking all day. I highly recommend this allspice. Whole berries are so much better than flavorless ground spices. Give them a try.

Very fragrant allspice berries with a very strong taste. I received them very, very fresh. I don't need to use as many per recipe because they're so much more flavorful than other ones I've bought. Also, the price is good as well.

The berries are fresh and wonderfully pungent. They are just what I was hoping for to provide an unexpected punch. (I use allspice mixed in with peppercorns for my table pepper mill, and also as seasoning, either whole or ground, in many dishes in place of nutmeg, which seems to have become ubiquitous.)
