How to Sprout Pumpkin Seeds at Home

  1. Yields approximately 3 Cups (1/2 lb.) of Sprouts. Prep 3 Tablespoons of seed, then transfer into a bowl or into your Sprouter. Add 2-3 times as much cool (60°-70°) water. Mix seeds up to assure even water contact for all.
  2. Allow seeds to soak for 6-12 hours. Empty the seeds into your Sprouter (if necessary). Drain off the soak water. Rinse thoroughly with cool (60°-70°) water. Drain thoroughly! Set your Sprouter anywhere out of direct sunlight and at room temperature (70° is optimal) between Rinses. Ensure sufficient air-circulation is provided.
  3. Always be sure to Drain very thoroughly. The most common cause of inferior sprouts is inadequate drainage. Rinse and Drain again every 8-12 hours for 3 days.

Ingredients for Winter Rainbow Salad:

Ingredients for the salad:

  • Half of the thinly sliced red cabbage
  • 8 oz baby arugula
  • ½ cup pumpkin seeds (or crushed almonds)
  • Seeds from 1 pomegranate
  • One sliced green apple (optional)
  • Sea salt to taste

 

Ingredients for the dressing:

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Description

  1. Thinly slice the cabbage, mix in a large bowl with the arugula, pumpkin seeds (or crushed almonds) and pomegranate seeds. If you are using the green apple, please cut it in thin slices and add it to the salad too.
  2. In a separate small container mix together the olive oil, lime juice and grated ginger. Dress the salad just before serving and enjoy!

Ingredients for Crunchy Mulberry Granola:

  • 3 cups gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup dried white mulberries
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • sea salt

Description

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Pour all dry ingredients into a large bowl.
  3. In a smaller bowl, add all wet ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Toss to coat.
  5. Spread on a cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir the granola. Put back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Very satisfied. I have now ordered this product twice and have been more that satisfied with it each time. We are vegetarians and use a lot of nuts and seeds in our diet. We have found that there are great differences in quality from various dealers. Everything is as advertised with this and the packaging is substantial as well.

Love these! Love, love, love lovelovelovelove these!!! I ordered them in bulk the next time, that's how excellent they are. Great source of protein and iron, rich in antioxidants, taste great too. Try using these instead of pine nuts in your next pesto, it is out of this world. Also, we put some in a potato salad to give it a crunch, and the crowd loved them. I put these in everything, salads, soups, breakfast wraps, just about everything! Thank you for this excellent product!
Just what I needed. Exactly what I wanted! I like to make my own trail mix, and I only like to use nuts and seeds that are raw, and have no salt. I could not find any pepitas in stores that aren't roasted and they all have salt on them! Gross. Nobody needs all that salt. I was very happy to find these and I am satisfied with the product. Just plain, raw pumpkin seeds.

Great product. I couldn't find raw, unsalted pumpkin seeds at any store in my area, so I figured that I would find them on Amazon. After reading reviews and descriptions on a few different brands I decided to go with these. They arrived quickly and they taste fresh. Very good source of nutrition! We recently overhauled our diet and were encouraged to eat more grains, seeds, nuts. A specific recipe we were making called out for pepitas so we decided to give it a try. Wow, were they good. I was surprised that even raw, they were very tasty on their own.
