This phytochemical helps to protect the plant and can also work as an antioxidant in humans, and these tasty baby plants are also packed full of vitamins such as Vitamin A and Vitamin C, as well as other nutrients.
Some studies have indicated that broccoli sprouts can help rid the body because they contain a substance called sulforaphane, which helps rid the body of cancer-causing chemicals. In fact, tiny broccoli sprouts contain 50 times more sulforaphane than fresh broccoli! with or without soil. To grow them without soil, place damp paper towels in the bottom of your sterilized container, sprinkle the seeds on it and leave them uncovered. Cover the container with plastic wrap and poke air holes in it. Keep your container in a place that is at least 70 degrees, but out of direct sunlight. Harvest the seeds two or three days after they start to develop leaves, and rinse them to remove the seed hulls.
