How to Cook Purple Rice
Purple Rice is very easy to cook. Just follow these simple steps.
Open Pot Cooking Instructions:
- Rinse 3-4 times (it is totally okay if the water is not 100% clear)
- Combine 1 cup of Purple Rice and 2 1/2 cups of water
- Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15-20 mins covered with a lid
- Remove the Rice from heat and let it sit for about 10 mins
- Fluff with a fork and enjoy!
Instant Pot Instructions:
- Rinse and drain
- Combine 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of water
- Pressure cook for 20 mins (you can choose the “Brown rice” mode if there is one)
- Let it sit for 10 mins
- Stir and serve!
