How to Sprout Wheat Berries at Home

  1. Yields approximately 3 cups (1/2 lb.) of sprouts. Prep 3 tablespoons of seed, then transfer into a bowl or into your sprouter. Add 2-3 times as much cool (60°-70°) water. Mix seeds up to assure even water contact for all.
  2. Allow seeds to soak for 6-12 hours. Empty the seeds into your sprouter (if necessary). Drain off the soak water. Rinse thoroughly with cool (60°-70°) water. Drain thoroughly! Set your sprouter anywhere out of direct sunlight and at room temperature (70° is optimal) between rinses. Ensure sufficient air-circulation is provided.
  3. Always be sure to drain very thoroughly. The most common cause of inferior sprouts is inadequate drainage. Rinse and drain again every 8-12 hours for 3 days.

Great product! 95% sprout within a day. Great product. I sprout my seeds and 95% or more sprouted.
Ready to use. This wheat is ready to eat out of the bag. It is whole grain and you can use it for whatever purpose you want. Grind it, crush it or use it whole. It is a great product for those of us who dont grow our own.
Good for growing wheatgrass. I bought the wheat berries to grow wheat grass. The berries sprouted as expected and produced sweet wheat grass.
The wheat seed are wonderful. I grow them in two method. I soak some and grow others directly. The seed sprout and grow wonderfully well and green. I am going to buy a larger quantity.
As promised. Sprouted easily after a brief overnight soak and they've grown to harvest height in just 8 days! This is my first time growing wheatgrass and it's been an awesome, straightforward process. I'm going to use some of the leftovers for cooking, too, so nothing goes to waste.
