How to Use Organic Dried Pinto Beans

You can use our organic dried pinto beans in a variety of ways:

  • Sprout and cook Organic sprouted beans are easier to digest and even more nutritious. They also take less time to cook. Steam them, use as a substitute for regular beans in recipes, or add to salads.
  • Grind into a meal Enrich your gluten-free flour mix with organic beans ground into an excellent meal. Soak and roast the seeds before grinding to enhance the flavor. You can also make organic bean flour from sprouted beans.
  • Soak and cook There are dozens of recipes for organic beans and much more where you can use them as a substitute for other species. You’ll need to pre-soak the seeds overnight or use the speed-soaking technique (bring to a boil and leave in a covered pot with hot water for an hour).

To cook organic pinto beans, slightly bring your prep-soaked, drained, and rinsed seeds to a boil and let simmer for 1-3 hours. The cooking time will determine how soft the seeds become. If you are planning to make organic refried beans, longer is better. You can buy organic beans (dry) in bulk as this product stores for months. Keep the beans in an airtight container somewhere cool.

How to Sprout Pinto Beans at Home

    1. Yields approximately 3 Cups (1/2 lb.) of Sprouts. Prep 3 Tablespoons of beans, then transfer into a bowl or your Sprouter. Add 2-3 times as much cool (60°-70°) water. Mix beans up to assure even water contact for all.
    2. Allow beans to soak for 6-12 hours. Empty the beans into your Sprouter (if necessary). Drain off the soak water. Rinse thoroughly with cool (60°-70°) water. Drain thoroughly! Set your Sprouter anywhere out of direct sunlight and at room temperature (70° is optimal) between Rinses. Ensure sufficient air-circulation provided.
    3. Always be sure to Drain very thoroughly. The most common cause of inferior sprouts is inadequate drainage. Rinse and Drain every 8-12 hours again for 3 days.

Enjoy your homemade sprouts!

I don't usually write reviews but this product exceded my expectations. FYI- The beans will come from different countries based on the time of the year that your order the product. Most beans become came out whole from the bag. Will review again in the future if the product degrades in quality.
Continue purchasing! Growing up eating pinto beans Frequently coming from a Hispanic family, I feel I’m pretty qualified to make a review on these beams. I love that they don’t take forever to cook like the regular beans from the local market, I wonder how long they’ve been sitting on the shelves! These cook faster and they taste fresher and I feel better feeding them to my family because there are also organic. This is a win-win for me . I Will continue to purchase them don’t change whatever you’re doing.!!!
Good beans. Great service & most of all, great product. Love these pintos that seem to cook soft a bit faster than other brands I've had. They have good flavor & I feel good about feeding them to my family.

Excellent beans! Excellent beans! Very clean and fresh. Noticably better than what my heath food store carries, and at a better price.

Nongmo and great taste. I have ordered these beans before. When the product is this good I don't look for any other. I like to cook the beans in the crock pot and them add other ingredients for chili.
