Organic Green Peas to Boost Your Health and Diet

Organic Green Peas should be in every pantry; not only are they delicious, but they also provide you with plant proteins, fiber, and some essential nutrients. Most importantly, they are easy to cook, and you can use them in many dishes that you’ll enjoy. Food To Live Organic Whole Green Peas can count toward your daily servings of vegetables, and if you don’t favor meat at all, use them and other legumes as a primary source of protein. Regardless of how you incorporate them into your meal plan, you are sure to benefit from B vitamins and iron as well.

How to Cook Organic Green Peas Easily

Taste is what sets the organic green pea apart from other legumes. Unlike the majority of beans and lentils, this product sure has more of a vegetable flavor. Its aroma is more than you would usually get in dried beans, which is why organic dried green peas are perfect for cooking. The best ways to enjoy this product are:

  • Pea soup – hearty and spicy, this kind of soup is perfect for cold days when you need to keep your energy and spirit high.
  • Veggie burgers – you don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy some spicy and flavorful green pea burgers. Cook them with onion and garlic, make a lot so you can put them in the freezer and have one on hand to make a quick and easy meal.
  • Salads – cooked organic whole green peas can be an excellent addition to some vegetable salads.
  • Hummus – add more flavor to any hummus with some peas.
  • Baking – grind whole peas and make pasta, pancakes, muffins, or all of the above.

How to Sprout Brown Speckled Peas at Home

  1. Yields approximately 3 cups (1/2 lb.) of sprouts. Prep 3 tablespoons of peas, then transfer into a bowl or into your sprouter. Add 2-3 times as much cool (60°-70°) water. Mix peas up to assure even water contact for all.
  2. Allow peas to soak for 6-12 hours. Empty the peas into your sprouter (if necessary). Drain off the soak water. Rinse thoroughly with cool (60°-70°) water. Drain thoroughly! Set your sprouter anywhere out of direct sunlight and at room temperature (70° is optimal) between rinses. Ensure sufficient air-circulation is provided.
  3. Always be sure to drain very thoroughly. The most common cause of inferior sprouts is inadequate drainage. Rinse and drain again every 8-12 hours for 3 days.

Delicious and clean, also, it germinates easily and shows it vitality. Highly recommended.
Great company. I have always trusted this company. Fresh product produces great veggies.
Sprouted great. These were easy to sprout and taste delicious. Will order again
YUM! makes for tasty sprouts and ALL of the seeds so far have sprouted. I sprout only enough for one person for a few days at a time.
These sprout nicely now that I've learned the right amount to put into my sprouting jar, about half a cup at a time. The first ones turned brown before they sprouted much. I sprout them in a closed cabinet because that's supposed to increase the amount of DAO in them, and I add them to my salads. They taste sweet and crunch. I'm on my second bag of them.
