Ginger-Spiced Baked Persimmons

INGREDIENTS:
- 4 persimmons
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- 2 tbsps hot water
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the tops off the persimmons, peel them, and then slice them. Place the slices in a large baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the maple syrup, ground cinnamon, ground allspice, and ginger powder. Stir in the hot water until everything is well mixed.
- Pour this sweet and spiced mixture evenly over the persimmon slices in the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil to keep the steam in, and bake the persimmons in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until they become tender.
- Remove the foil, and spoon some of the syrupy liquid over the persimmons. Then, place the dish under the broiler for approximately 10 minutes or until the persimmons are nicely browned.
