Salad Mix of Sprouts on the other hand, are delicate and require a more careful storage to maintain their freshness and quality. After harvesting, rinse the sprouts under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Store sprouts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. It’s best to avoid washing them until you’re ready to use them to prevent them from getting soggy. Freeze extra sprouts in resealable bags to later use in a smoothie.

How to Sprout Seeds at Home

  1. Yields approximately 3 Cups (1/2 lb.) of Sprouts. Prep 3 Tablespoons of seed, then transfer into a bowl or into your Sprouter. Add 2-3 times as much cool (60°-70°) water. Mix seeds up to assure even water contact for all.
  2. Allow seeds to soak for 6-12 hours. Empty the seeds into your Sprouter (if necessary). Drain off the soak water. Rinse thoroughly with cool (60°-70°) water. Drain thoroughly! Set your Sprouter anywhere out of direct sunlight and at room temperature (70° is optimal) between Rinses. Ensure sufficient air-circulation is provided.
  3. Always be sure to Drain very thoroughly. The most common cause of inferior sprouts is inadequate drainage. Rinse and Drain again every 8-12 hours for 3 days.

I ordered these and I LOVE the mixture. I'm in heaven! I had gotten out of the habit of making my own sprouts...pure laziness! I ordered these and I LOVE the mixture! Sometimes seeds get age on them and sprout slowly or some don't at all...every one of these sprouted and quickly! That means they are very fresh! Worth the price!!
Tasty, nutritious sprouting mix. Was so pleased with this mix. Spicy, peppery, and mild all rolled into one. These sprouts are so tasty and I love the high germination rate that packed the jar with beautiful, delicious sprouts in less than a week from start to finish. You will not be disappointed in these. I will purchase them again, and am recommending them to my friends.
These seeds are so fresh that all you can smell is green when you open the bag. These are very fresh seeds that end up to be delicious microgreens with a high germination rate.
Good flavor, grow quickly. I use a half-gallon sprouting jar. My first batch with these seeds I used 3 tablespoons and it was way too much by day 3, the jar was too crowded. Now I use just 1 tablespoon per batch and on day 5 they are a good size to start eating. The radish seeds in the mix give it a nice zip of flavor that we enjoy but others may not.
Great germination rate. This is a tasty, easy-to-grow mixture of seeds. The selection of plants germinate at around the same time. I sprouted the seeds in a Mason jar using masontops sprout lids (also on Amazon). Germination started on day one and I had a full jar by day 3. It looks like all of the seeds sprouted, but I'll say 99%. I will buy these again when I run out.
