Baked Persimmons with Ginger Powder

Here is a simple dessert recipe of soft, sticky and caramelized persimmons!

Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 40 min | Total Time: 45 min | Servings: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 Fuyu persimmons
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tbsps hot water

Baked Persimmons with Ginger Powder

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut tops off persimmons. Peel and cut into slices. Place in a large baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup and spices. Add hot water and stir until dissolved. Pour mixture over fruit.
  4. Cover dish with foil and bake until persimmons are soft, about 30 minutes.
  5. Remove foil and spoon syrup over fruit. Place dish under the broiler until persimmons are browned, about 10 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately.
